FAQ

Common questions about SME financing

How does business funding work?

Business funding involves securing capital from financial institutions through structured loan products. Reliance Advisors manages the entire process on your behalf, from eligibility assessment and document preparation through to lender selection and application submission.

How much can I borrow for a small business?

Loan quantum depends on your business revenue, operational history, and credit profile. We conduct a thorough pre-assessment to identify the realistic borrowing range your business qualifies for across our panel of lenders.

How do I qualify for an SME loan?

Qualification is assessed across multiple factors, including operational tenure, annual revenue, bank transaction history, and the personal credit standing of directors. We conduct a full eligibility review before any submission is made to maximise your approval prospects.

Which entities qualify for business financing?

Your business must be Singapore-registered with a minimum of 30% local shareholding held by Singaporeans or PRs. Upon approval, directors holding at least 50% shareholding will be required to provide a Personal Guarantee. Operational history and annual revenue thresholds will also be assessed.

What documents are required for a business loan?

Core requirements include the latest six months of business bank statements, the last four quarters of GST F5 returns (if GST-registered), two years of financial statements, directors' NRICs, and their last two years' Notices of Assessment. Additional documents may be requested depending on the specific product and financier.
